The Multimedia Animation Program will teach graphic techniques which will prepare students to design 2D/3D animated web sites and printed marketing campaigns, and will teach them how to create and produce videos. Students may work for themselves, for video production or web development companies, for advertising and marketing firms, or for any company that has a presence on the Internet. This program prepares students for one of the hottest new high demand occupations.
The multimedia animation program will prepare students for certifications using the Adobe CS5.5 suite of software which includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Fireworks.
Students will learn to develop websites using HTML5 and CSS3, to design eBooks with video and audio, and they will learn how to use multimedia techniques to produce videos and assist with producing television shows.
The purpose of this program is to teach students the skills needed to become a computer maintenance technician, computer support technician, a systems administrator in the information technology industry, or a computer support position. The program will prepare students for the Microsoft Office exams, and the CompTIA A+ certifications.
The student will learn topics such as word processing principles; how to create spreadsheets; how to create and manage databases; and how to manage physical and logical devices; users, computers, and groups; access and permissions; the network environment; and diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures.
The approximate amount of time to complete the Computer Technician Program is 17 weeks for day school and 32 weeks for night school.
